Daniele Ghisi

Daniele Ghisi was born in Italy in 1984 and studied at the G. Donizetti Conservatory in Bergamo with A. Colla and S. Gervasoni. He continued his studies at IRCAM, where he earns his doctorate in composition in 2017, alongside a masters in mathematics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. He is the recipient of numerous competitions and residencies and has recently had commissions from the French Ministry of Culture, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Divertimento Ensemble, the Biennale de Venice, Orchestre La Fenice (Venise), RadioFrance, Milano Musica, Festival Play It, Ernst von Siemens Stiftung for music@villaromana, Festival Archipel, BergamoMusicaFestival. Since 2010, he has developed, with Andrea Agostini, the prize-winning “bach: automated composer’s helper” library. He is co-founder of the nuthing.eu blog. He works are published by Casa Ricordi. He is currently teaching electroacoustic composition at the Conservatory of Genova.
